Um. I haven't been able to play for a while. Not properly. So I... wrote a song instead. Let me know what you think!

[The music picks up, a soft acoustic that quickly blends to something a little more upbeat. And then she starts to sing.]

[[Lyrics here! Cut for Length!]] )

[Song complete, Zia smiles a rare smile.]

I hope that was okay! Thank you for listening.

[She cuts the feed there, pleased with herself and happy to be able to play in full again.]

((ooc: The song in question is this magical thing here. All song credit goes to Gavin Dunne | Miracle of Sound. I was looking for a song for Zia to play and then this came out so... it just seemed fitting.

Imagine this sung by a 17 year old girl and we've got this post. :3))

[Zia's only got one thing to say. She's a little busy trying to stay conscious. Being attacked by Sollux was... definitely not what she expected when she went to the stables that day.

Her arm is hurting more than she ever thought it could, and while her body is battered, bruised and bloody, it's the knock to her head that's giving her the most trouble.]

Kid. Help.

[Her tone alone is a fair hint that something is very, very wrong.]

[The video feed kicks in to a close up of Zia's face, the young lady carefully inspecting the journal to make sure she's got this video thing working right.]

Um. Hello, everyone! My name is Zia.

[She had things planned to say, and now that she's here, she's really not sure. Propping the journal up, Zia sits back and brings her harp-guitar to her lap, fingers placed lightly on the strings. The journal earns a shy smile.]

I was wondering if I could play for you.

[A peace offering, in her case, as well as thanks for the hospitality.]

I hope this is alright.

[Another smile. Zia takes a breath, exhales slowly and starts to play. The song is soft, acoustic and beautiful in its simplicity. Every string strummed, every note she plays, Zia is putting everything she has into it. When Zia plays, the world around her might as well not exist. A song is her freedom, and right now she wants to share that.]

((ooc: The song she plays isn't actually The Beatles. The one I linked is just the closest thing I could find to what she's playing. Just a little something to give people and idea of what they're hearing. :3))

[A certain young lady just arrived at Holloway's Keep and read the letter of welcome from Lord Deior. It's hit her a little hard, more so after everything she's been through lately. When she speaks, her voice is quiet but bold.]

You're wrong. It's not all gone. It can't be gone. We found the Bastion, and Kid is looking for the cores to bring it all back. I'm sorry for what's happened, I really am, but we're... we're going to fix this. I mean, if everything was gone, this place would be too, wouldn't it? So... it can't be over yet.

[There's a little pep to her tone, a determination not to give up. Still, the undertone to her words is one of worry. Zia doesn't know this place or where her friends are and that terrifies her. It's a fear she won't let get the better of her, but it exists all the same.]

I don't know where I am right now, or where my friends are. If anyone knows where I can find Rucks or Kid, or even Zulf... please tell me. I need to make sure they're okay. Squirt and Pecker and Anklegator too.
